Five generations of building excellence
Building Heritage
Descended from the building family of Oldfield Watson we have been building and developing in the Calder Valley and surrounding areas for over a century. The family has constructed notable local structures such as the Hebden Bridge Picture House, many of the properties on Caldene Avenue, the original Caldene Bridge and the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Mytholmroyd. Now Directed by Myles Watson, the fifth descendant of Oldfield, and working alongside his father Paul they now focus on smaller projects with referred clients and an emphasis on quality and service.
Myles worked for his father from the age of 16 then went on to do a degree in Construction Management at the University of Salford. He was sponsored by Taylor Woodrow Construction Plc and worked with them for over six years under their management training scheme on key contracts at Paddington Station in London, Bombardier Rail maintenance terminal and later in the Tesco stores construction division. Myles has gone on to manage sites for other companies before returning to Oldfield Watson as a Contracts Manager and then on to form O W Construction Ltd in 2009.
